An Aquaglider is a special ultralight aircraft. It is
a unique hang glider fully equipped with pontoons and
its own motor for taking off and landing on the water.
Flights depart daily from several Bay Area harbors.

Alcatraz from the sky! During your flight, you will
pass right over Alcatraz Island, and fly past Sausalito
and Tiburon, all while looking down from 2000' at the
Golden Gate Bridge. All lessons are conducted with a
qualified instructor at your side. Flights last 25-30
minutes and you get a video of your lesson. The video
camera is attached to your glider so you see yourself,
the craft, and the whole view.

The
Ten Most Commonly Questions:
Where
do we fly? - Our home site is the Mt. Tamalpais
State Park, just ten miles north of San Francisco.
When do we fly? - We fly seven days a week, weather
permitting. Typically between 10:30 am and 6:30 PM.
Can a person with no experience fly on the first
day? - With the help of our certified instructors
anyone can fly with only ten minutes of instruction
on the ground and the rest of the lesson from two thousand
feet side by side some of the most experienced pilots
in the world.
Is it dangerous? - Like the rest of life, hang
gliding is not without danger. We have maintained our
perfect safety record using extreme caution, attention
to detail and some of the best pilots around. All our
instructors have between 14 and 29 years of experience.
How long is the flight? - We fly from a 2000
foot mountain 3 miles out to the most popular beach
in the San Francisco bay area, the north end of Stinson
Beach. The flight can last anywhere from 7-30 minutes
depending on the weather.
Do I need to make a reservation in advance? -
We do tend to book up several weeks in advance, particularly
on the weekends, but if your decision is a spontaneous
one we will try to accommodate you.
Is there an age limit? - We have taken people
between 8 and 83 years of age.
Can I get a video of my flight? - Yes, we can
attach a video camera with a wide angle lens which captures
you, the glider, and the view.
What should I wear? - We suggest bringing layers
as it can be hard to predict if it will be hot or cold.
Is it scary? - Most people find that, in retrospect,
the scary part is thinking about doing it but, once
you are up there flying like the eagles, it is one of
the most peaceful and serene things a person can do!
Can you provide transportation? - We can provide
transportation to those staying in San Francisco or
some of the nearby cities.
